We are a team of former English and German teachers who studied German culture and history from the time that the first Germanic tribes settled in what is now the Federal Republic of Germany. We have researched the names of old professions - those are often mentioned in old family chronicles. We also researched the different changes in the spelling of German names. Under the Kaiser, 1871 through the end of World War II, Germany had many colonies. If you were born in one of those, you would have family certificates in German as well.
We will also be happy to translate letters, recipes and other written mementos for you.
